During the visit of a delegation consists of the Iranian private sector and economic activists to Austria, Iran Housing Investment Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with VAMED company for constructing two 320-bed hospitals in Shiraz and Tabriz, I.R. Iran.
Mr. Ali Moghadaszadeh, the CEO of Iran Housing Investment Company, as a member of the Iranian delegation stated that: VAMED company is one of the most credible hospital construction companies in the international level and the MoU which is worth almost 200 million Euro was signed between Iran Housing investment Company as one of the affiliated companies of Iranian Social Security Organization (ISSO) and Austrian VAMED Company in order to construct two 320-bed hospitals in Shiraz and Tabriz- two populated provincial centers of I.R. Iran. Both projects will be implemented based on foreign investment finance.
Moreover, other seven Iranian companies also signed MoUs with Austrian companies during Iran–Austria economic congress which was held in Austrian economic room on 31 April 2016, in the presence of heads and authorities of both countries. The signed MoUs consist of 8 documents in the fields of car, steel, drug industry and engineering sectors which are totally worth more than 2 billion US dollars.
It is important to note that Iran Housing Investment Company as one of the specialized holdings of the Iranian Social Security Organization and the biggest hospital constructor of the country has built 80 hospitals owned by the ISSO. This company which holds a reliable background in the area of construction, has completed more than 670 residential, administrative and hospital constructing projects in more than 5 million square meters area and has 500000 square meters hospital projects under construction all according to international standards.
VAMED Company has also constructed 800 hospitals in 52 countries with the capacity of 123000 beds. For instance, a 2200-bed hospital in Vienna and the most modern hospital with the capacity of 850 beds in Cologne was also put into operation by this company in less than 2 years.
