The Iranian Social Security Organization (ISSO) and German Social Accidents Insurance (DGUV) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim to develop mutual cooperation in different fields of rehabilitation management, return to work programs, hospital management and planning, facilitating the exchange of information and organizing vocational training courses for their staff.
This MoU was signed on 31 August 2018 in Berlin by Dr. Seyed Taghi Nourbakhsh - the Managing Director of the Iranian Social Security Organization and Dr. Breuer - the ISSA President and the Managing Director of German Social Accidents Insurance.
The parties committed to organize joint seminars and conferences, share best practices, conduct joint research projects, exchange technical knowledge and short-term visits of experts in order to achieve the expected results of the MoU.
It is worth mentioning that the German Social Accidents Insurance is responsible for monitoring and supervising all the legal bodies and institutions of both public and private sectors of accident insurance. Totally, the institutions under the supervision of DGUV cover about 70 million people for work accidents insurance and provide a wide range of services in different fields of workplace health and safety, rehabilitation, occupational health, work injuries and diseases , occupational disease wage compensation to the covered population. DGUV has also several research and training centers, besides 11 specialized clinics for work related accidents and occupational diseases.
