The ceremony of announcing the results of the competition for the ISSA Good Practice Award which is the most important event of ISSA regional event in Asia and Pacific was held at the end of the first day of ISSA Regional Social Security Forum for 2017-2019 triennium in Kuala Lumpur- Malaysia with the presence of high rank authorities of Malaysian Government, ISSA, the Iranian Social Security Organization, and Diplomatic Mission of Iranian Embassy in Malaysia and more than 100 delegates from 56 countries of the region.
According to the documents forwarded by the International Affairs Department of the ISSO, the International Jury and ISSA Center for Excellence Experts, out of 19 entries, awarded 4 schemes with Certificate of Merit and 15 schemes with Attestations.
The certificates of merit for the following selected schemes were awarded by Dr. Breuer - the ISSA President to Mr. Sorkhou - Member of the ISSO Board of Directors:
1 - Comprehensive e-services: More effective, more reliable,
2 - Electronic admission of insured patients through telephone, Internet, mobile app and USSD order codes,
3 - Social security mobile services,
4 - Substitution of insurance booklets with electronic prescription.
It is worth mentioning that a total of 76 entries were received from 20 members in 15 countries from the region by the ISSA Secretariat and were decided upon based on achieved outcomes, innovativeness, robustness, replicability and ISSA Guidelines qualitative and quantitative indicators. The entries forwarded to this competition were classified into 3 different levels to be awarded by 1- Certificates of Merit with Special Mention to recognize outstanding good practices, 2- Certificates of Merit, 3- Attestations for other submissions assessed as good practices.
The awarding Attestations to the recognized achievements and Good Practices of ISSA member organizations will be introduced at the end of the second day of Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and Pacific.
The good practices received in each competition will be made available to other member organizations through the ISSA Good Practice database (www.issa.int/good-practices) as of 3rd October 2018.
